Reflection: From Israel to Iowa

In the past few weeks, I’ve posted photos of some of the highlights of my travels in Israel last month. I’ve been home for over two weeks now, and the stagnancy of the Iowa winter ahead has started to set in.

Traveling sparks thoughts, ideas, and passions inside of me. It gives me prolonged peace within that I rarely am able to experience otherwise. It gives me space free from everyday worry to reflect, envision, and think about greater things.
Travel is a privilege that I am so happy to be able to afford and fit into my life.

But, winter is coming. It’s a time for death, but also necessary quiet and rest before rebirth in the spring.

I think and hope that this winter holds some answers for me that I’ve been looking for for a long time. If anything, I know it will hold change.

What are you looking for this winter?
