Parting Ways

I like to think of myself as a person with many homes. I’ve stayed for both short and extended periods of time in many places, and if I returned to any one of them tomorrow, they’d all be just as welcoming as the last time I was there. I’m grateful to have that.

This apartment was the first home I ever had just for myself, and this week, I’ll be leaving it after living here for a year and a half.

I know I’m being overly sentimental, but I’m ok with that because it’s just who I am.

In this place, I learned a lot about myself and uncovered goals I didn’t know I had or didn’t think I could accomplish. It’s time to go get those goals now.

Thank you, my little nook of an apartment. I’ll miss your light, and I will cherish your memories. ā¤

    1. Thanks! This is the apartment I’m moving out of – hopefully my new place looks just as eclectic and wonderful as my old place though. ā¤

We leave parts of ourselves, everywhere we stay, even for a night. Each of those places will always hold a sentimental meaning for us. Reading this reminds me of all the places I’ve lived over the years. Thanks for posting šŸ™‚

    1. So true. I have pieces of myself all over the world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for reading. ā¤

  4. I can relate. Every time I leave a place, that Iā€™m moving away from, I have to spend time alone with it to take it all in and say goodbye.
