Spring Equinox

A little late, but these are a few of my favorite shots from the woodsy photoshoot I did on the first day of Spring. A perfect way to start the season.

Over the past year, I’ve started to realize my “calling” in photography. Though I’ve been shooting for several years, I never found something that was really my thing. I love shooting nature, but I don’t consider myself a wildlife photographer. I enjoy doing family photoshoots and senior sessions, but it’s not an end goal for me. I like shooting when I’m on the road, but I don’t necessarily desire to be a travel photographer. Everything sounds appealing for a minute, but I eventually realize each lifestyle isn’t quite what I want.

Last year, I started putting together simple costumes and creations and doing fantasy and horror photoshoots without even realizing that there was a world of fantasy photographers out there and an even larger world of people that follow that sort of thing. Since this recent discovery, I’ve become hooked. Now I just need to get better at making costumes. 🙂

More to come on all of this soon.
